Ferrari Boss Calls for Improved Performance

Roma - Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa could only finish the Chinese Grand Prix in positions six and seven. After three races end up disappointing, Luca di Montezemolo demanding improved performance from his team.

Positions six and seven earned duet Alonso-Massa at Chinese GP makes Ferrari has not even feel the finish on the podium this season. The Prancing Horse was the best performance so far was achieved by Alonso's fourth place finish in Australia.

Although still a lot of waiting but the series is obviously a bad start worrying for a team like Ferrari. Moreover, on the other side of the McLaren Mercedes looks begin to emulate Red Bull, following Lewis Hamilton's victory at the Shanghai International Circuit yesterday.

These conditions make Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo disappointed. He also demanded a Ferrari engineer to work even harder to re-fight in the vanguard.

"This can not and must not happen at the level of this team. It's a very difficult moment. I hope the engineers we work with determination and emotion know what to do, to release the maximum capacity in order to enhance performance Ferrari cars in a short time," said di Montezemolo as quoted by Autosport.

With the next race is still three weeks in Turkey, Ferrari will have plenty of time to prepare his car. "I want to Ferrari at the level that we and the fans want," lid di Montezemolo.
